Fieldwork Status

ESCA RP field work (link to map of current work areas) is occurring in Parker Flats, Interim Action Ranges, and Future East Garrison. Please check back often for updated field maps.

ESCA Remediation Program field crews are currently working in the following areas:

  • 1. East and west of Barloy Canyon Road near East Garrison;
  • 2. Eucalyptus Road just west of the Parker Flats Cut-off Road intersection; and
  • 3. South of the intersection of Eucalyptus and Parker Flats Roads.

Please be aware of heavy equipment operation in these areas. Crews are conducting investigations for Munitions and Explosives of Concern. Please stay out of these areas to maintain worker and public safety.

The gates on Inter-Garrison Road east of Schoonover Avenue have been locked to try to stop the illegal dumping that has increased in that area. Inter-Garrison Road, east of the gate, is still open to bikers, hikers and equestrians.

Safety Access Corridors have been established through the ESCA parcels and signs are posted to help guide you safely to the BLM recreational areas. For your safety stay on paved roads, respect work area signage, and maintain posted speed limits, to prevent accidental contact with ESCA workers and equipment. Please see the information kiosks at major access points or view the Work Areas and Access Corridors maps.

For weekly updates or if you have a specific question regarding detonation operations or current field activities, please call the FORA ESCA RP Hotline at (831) 883-3506 or contact us via email at esca@fora.org.
